Just wanted to share with you what the new Gahanna Creekside looks like in the evenings! It is currently decorated for the holidays, and this image was taken during the Tree Lighting last Friday night. It was a cute event - pretzels, hot chocolate, and lit candles were passed out, then the Christmas tree was lit, and finally, "How the Gringe Stole Christmas" was on the big screen outdoors for everyone to enjoy!
In my effort to update this blog more often, I would like to show you a couple of preview photos from the maternity session shot earlier this week. The R. couple were a pleasure to work with - so laid back and willing to go with the flow! Looking forward to this baby girl's newborn session!
So, clearly, it's been a while since I've been anywhere near this blog. I feel so badly that I have neglected it! But, as I'm sure you know, it's easy to get too busy sometimes! Especially with the beginning of the school year, and all of the adjustments that it brings.
Well, I have not been totally idle - just not updating online galleries anywhere. I have lots to post, but little time, so consider this a tiny preview of a couple of things. Hope to find some time (and energy) to share more soon!
We all know that outfits that go together make family/group photographs look more cohesive and create more of a visual impact. However, looking identical is not the way to go. So, how do you pick clothes that match, but are not the same? Some photographers started offering suggestions, and I'm going to jump on that bandwagon and try to give you some ideas as well. Here is the debut of my "What to Wear Wednesday"!
The image below shows some ideas of how outfits can match while not being the same. I picked out all of these items at Old Navy, because their clothes are cute and affordable. I hope this helps someone!
It was a warm, slightly cloudy day. Perfect time to put on a tutu and run through some flowers! Of course, with camera in hand. That's how easily a summer day turns into a photo session!
I had to find a good spot for a large group for a photo shoot coming up this weekend, so we headed to the park. The weather was supposed to be nice. Cloudy, but dry. Guess what? That's not how it worked out! There were brief moments when the rain went away, but you could say that overall it put somewhat of a damper on things! We had to move quickly when the rain slowed down. But... I was able to get a couple of shots with a prop that does not usually come out to play! Note to self - one day I will buy a really bright and colorful umbrella for a situation like this!
It's so hard not to post the whole session! Just tell me to stop!! ;)
It has been too long since I have updated my blog - shame on me! Things get in the way, and virtual space gets put on hold. I suppose that's how it's ought to be anyway, but I do apologize for not bringing more photos sooner!
Just a few days ago I took a walk with some fellow photographers down Short North in Columbus, Ohio. If you are not familiar with the area, it is a gallery district that stretches along High St. between downtown Columbus and The Ohio State University campus. A very charming place! Small galleries and shops are interlaced with one-of-a-kind eateries and ice cream joints. The day was beautiful - sunny and warm! Add pleasant company, and the photo excursion turned out to be a very enjoyable experience. Thank you, Ken and Elise, for joining me on this photo walk!
